BTW, you can make your own SVCDs from your digital camera home movies. Don't lose the remote. Without it you can't do anything except play and stop. It will entertain the kids in the back seat, and you can also take it into the hotel room to play back movies on the hotel TV. You need NERO with the MPEG plug, a CD burner, and ordinary cheap CDRs. Super Video CDs are a higher quality VCD, burned onto a regular CD, that have near DVD quality. It plays DVDs, VCDs, and to my surprise, SVCDs. It comes with all the cables for hook up to a regular TV, as well as a 12V auto cord, wall charger/110V adapter, earbuds, and the remote.
It was well worth my money. The product was really good and I am enjoying hearing CDs on the system.
Not the best looking or solid player out there but cant beat the features and price. One of the few players that can play a varity of formats.Plays divx, mp4, avi, mpeg1,2, vcd, svcd besides dvd mp3 etc.Bought one new for $50 after MIR and was impressed by the fact that it can play most video formats.

I am also not happy with the apperance of the item.We have to user remote for all the functional activites which is again a drawback. I bought this item last month and i was very upset when i saw the image quality. I have another portable dvd player (Initial company) and ther picture quality is wonderful.
